ok, so first of all, I am impressed with your thumb capacity. I can't type that much if I get up and go to my laptop! LOL I can relate to the thoughts before bed. Sometimes I liken it to being in one of those standup boxes on the game shows that they start up and it blows money around and you have to catch it. That is me trying to harness my thoughts. I too am a caffeine addict. Second, I checked out the link for the verse mapping and I have to say that I have never heard of that before. I usually use the S.O.A.P. method. So I know understand what verse mapping is--but how do you determine what verse to map? is it just from whatever you are reading that day?
I love that game show analogy! Totally can relate.
I actually use the SOAK method in the devotional I wrote! (The K is kneeling in prayer- I just like the word soak for its multiple meanings).
Right now, I only use verse mapping when I am prepping for a sermon. I’m teaching on the church of Philadelphia, so I’m using the verse mapping to dissect Revelation 3:7-13 verse by verse. I look up the history, the Greek and Hebrew word definitions, etc etc. the “God view” and “our view” portion of the journal is what really brings it all together for me and I use a lot of those notes in my sermons. But I think you can pick ANY verse to map out. Maybe choose one from your Bible reading that day that stood out and you want to dig into more!

Oh that’s great, verse by verse. There has been times I’ve done that but I like the way that journal breaks it down
Me too! If you use it, please come back here and tell me how it goes for you!
This was excellent. Thank you
Awe thank you! Appreciate you taking the time to read it.
